Experimental. 6 Minutes. MiniDV and Primitive Computer Animation. 2013.
An experiment in creating a film from variations on a single shot, taken during my time at 825 Main Street, Apt. 402. My thematic interest was in exploring the tension between the possibility of living in the big city and the banal reality of living in my apartment, staring off into the rough direction of home. The film should be taken as somewhat tongue-in-cheek. The history of Chicago in major and minor events according to a 2006 Fodor's Guidebook collides with a poem about the city in an Evanston studio apartment. Screened at 2013 University Film and Video Association conference at Chapman University, at the Studio One Plus Two Films From the Attic screening in Richmond, and was published online in Quarterly West magazine, Issue 82.
